We are looking for an enthusiastic radiographer to manage and supervise the accreditation process for the department, carrying out the required management and leadership tasks to support the department’s continued Quality Standard for Imaging accreditation. The candidate will be responsible for managing complaints to the radiology department and will need excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
1. To be the main point of contact for the accreditation process.
2. To act as risk and complaints manager for the Diagnostic Imaging department, maintaining oversight of risk events and complaints ensuring timescales for investigations and actions are met.
3. To lead in the development and advancement of the department’s quality agenda, emphasising the implementation of evidence-based knowledge into practice.
4. Ensure the department audit schedule is maintained and followed. Identify audit projects as required and ensure audit recommendations are implemented where necessary.
5. To oversee the department’s controlled documents, ensuring the documents are regularly reviewed and updated.
6. Lead on the investigation of Risk events, ensuring appropriate feedback and learning for staff.
7. Be responsible for managing complaints for the department, both investigating and producing appropriate replies, ensuring learning points are highlighted to leads as appropriate.
8. Represent the department/trust at local, regional, and national level to disseminate developments in QSI accreditation and develop clinical network.
9. Contribute to and participate in planning and policy formulation for quality management.
The Radiology Department at Dorset County Hospital is a progressive, patient-focused department and is highly regarded by the clinical teams that use our services. The department is a busy district general hospital providing CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology, symptomatic breast services, and plain film, and is also a friendly place to work with an excellent working relationship between all staff within the department regardless of position.
Dorset County Hospital is in the county town of Dorchester which has good rail links to Southampton, Bristol, and London and boasts highly rated schools. Dorset is a delightful place to live and work with the choice of coast or country for leisure activities. Dorchester has undergone a major refurbishment with lots of bars and restaurants providing evening entertainment. The seaside town of Weymouth is nearby with lots of water sports opportunities. There are beautiful walks on the World Heritage site of the Jurassic Coast.
