We are looking for an Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator
You could be the person for the job if
* You have experience in working within waste management
* You have experience of working in a fast paced office or production environment
* You have experience of working in a H&S / Environmental compliance capacity within an operational site
* You have experience of working in a manufacturing environment
Main Duties
* Act as delegate for EHST Manager in their absence, ensuring compliance with HSE legislation
* Interpret and apply new and existing legislation
* Communicate with regulatory bodies; produce and share reports; assist with inspections and audits
* Provide environmental compliance and H&S support; prepare guidance documents; report monthly data
* Complete legal/regulatory assessments; coordinate COSHH use and storage; support audits and track actions
* Conduct spill/evacuation drills
* Manage accident investigations
* Facilitate PTW, risk assessments, and SSOWs
* Handle customer EHS and legislation requirements
* Support management of all professional accreditations, including ensuring PRN accreditation is retained
* Manage costs for improvements, producing proposals for approval
* Support and facilitate design and delivery of EHS training, toolbox talks and safety briefings
Person specification
Essential
Grades C and above English, Maths and Science.
A Level / BTech qualification
WAMITAB / COTC or equivalent experience / qualification
IOSH managing safely qualification or working towards obtaining this.
NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent experience / qualification or working towards obtaining this.
Full UK driving licence.
Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality auditing experience.
Intermediate IT skills, confident in using different programmes and platforms.
Experience in a similar role.
Experience in carrying out risk assessments or similar.
Ability to identify and access legislative publications.
Desirable
Fluent in a second European language
