Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30 pm, 37.5 hours per week, term time only
We’ve got a fabulous opportunity to join Seashell Royal College Manchester as a Health and Wellbeing Coordinator. You will create, lead and oversee wellbeing initiatives within the college which will positively impact both staff and students, and help to live their best lives.

What we’re looking for:
In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our college activities reflect the cultural needs of all colleagues and students.
You will also support the development of on-going wellbeing practices by incorporating new idea areas of best practice and attending relevant CPD opportunities.
We’re looking for someone who is skilled at implementing new initiatives and ideas, and coordinating others to deliver long-term initiatives or projects, and, of course, a passion for helping others.
Ideally, you’ll be committed to further development, and hold a British Sign Language Level 1, or be committed to undertake the qualification.
To be successful in the role you’ll need:
* GCSE A – C in English and Maths (or equivalent) or commitment to complete Skills for Life Level 2
* Qualifications relating to support mental health / well-being or a willing to work towards this.
* Experience of working with children and young people with multi-sensory impairments and/or complex learning difficulties and disabilities
* Knowledge of leading mental health support and well-being initiatives
* Previous experience at chairing meetings and leading training sessions
* Knowledge around supporting Mental Health in learners with SEND
* Understanding of working with national frameworks, which focus on health and well-being for students and staff
* Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals
* Knowledge and experience of working within a team to deliver well-being initiatives
Role Outline:
Based on site at RCM, Cheadle Hulme, you will work, lead and deliver themed events which focus on the students. You will also:
* Lead on facilitating staff wellbeing events activities which promote a positive culture around positive mental wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion.
* Coordinate the college Mental-Health First Aiders and link in with leads within other services
* Prepare materials, initiatives and resources to support the mental health and/or physical wellbeing of staff.
* Staff wellbeing and support oversight, including signposting staff to the appropriate support and linking in with internal departments where appropriate
* Chairing the employee engagement forum and taking an active role in supporting inductions of new staff by running well-being sessions and ensuring a smooth transition into their new roles.
If you have had previous experience working in a wellbeing role and have a passion for mental health and welfare of both students and staff within an education setting this role could be for you.
