We’re on the lookout for dedicated Maintenance Electricians to support our valued client in the Scottish Borders. What You’ll Be Doing:
✅ Preventive & Reactive Maintenance – Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery, conveyors, motors, and control panels.
✅ PLC Fault Finding & Programming – Work with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Schneider PLCs (desirable but not essential).
✅ Motor Control & Drives – Maintain and troubleshoot VFDs, DC drives, and soft starters.
✅ Control Panels & Wiring – Read and interpret electrical schematics to install or modify control panels.
✅ Industrial Power Systems – Maintain and install 3-phase (415V) and single-phase (230V) systems.
✅ Emergency & Safety Systems – Work with fire alarms, emergency stop circuits, and backup generators.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Electrician – NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (City & Guilds 2357/2365).
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – City & Guilds 2382-18 certification is mandatory.
* Apprenticeship Trained – Electrical Engineering or Maintenance background preferred.
* Technical Knowledge – Experience in control panels, automation, and fault diagnosis.
* Health & Safety Aware – Knowledge of LOTO, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
* Reliable & Adaptable – Ability to work on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern.
