Here at BJF, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our exciting and expanding construction biased business, where YOU can help support the FM division as a fabric engineer.
Working with a large portfolio of public and private sector clients, our UK-based organisation comprises several divisions including Mechanical & Electrical, Construction, Projects, Reactive, FM, Small Works, and other associated trades.
Position
* Respond to reactive calls, carry out first fix where possible and scope quotes for repair where first fix is not possible, ensuring minimum downtime.
* Carry out all planned building/fabric maintenance tasks as per program and keep accurate auditable records of works planned and completed.
* Undertake small to large fabric repairs and upgrades to existing buildings both internally and externally.
* Cover all aspects ranging from (but not limited to) masonry, carpentry, ironmongery, roof repairs, kitchen fitting.
* Scope both the task and material requirements to achieve the required results.
* Ensure that the site is kept in good decorative order internally and externally - and to given specification and ensure timely completion.
* Work within all Health and Safety criteria and processes relevant to work activities.
* Show a proactive approach to Health & Safety in the work environment and take the necessary steps to ensure risks are mitigated.
* Maintain high standards of customer care as client-facing.
* Be flexible and undertake other reasonable duties to accommodate operational requirements.
Requirements
* Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works/tasks completed within KPI’s.
* Experience in domestic, commercial, or industrial fabric engineering.
* A proactive, positive, solution-based attitude.
* Repairs following a Periodic Electrical Installation Condition Report, including minor works certification.
* Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works/tasks completed within KPI’s.
Preferred but not essential:
* IPAF
* MEWP
* BM Trada / Fire Door Experience
* Kitchen Fitting Experience
* Plastering ability
* Masonry training
* Locksmith Training
