Salary: £18,216.80 per annum (£26,024 FTE) based on a 24.5 hour week

Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team at Gosling Sike as a Horticulture Conservation Officer. This exciting new role will work closely with our existing team and a network of volunteers, playing a pivotal role in enabling the supply of native and rare plant species to our reserves and across Cumbria at numerous project sites.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work with existing partners and develop new opportunities for volunteers and young people in the work of the seed bank and propagation nursery.
2. Organise volunteer identification days and visits to see the work of the seed bank.
3. Support the Horticulture Manager to collect, catalogue, and store seeds in the seed bank.
4. Involve in tree growing for Skiddaw Forest.
Qualifications and Skills
Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated with good communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a flair for Horticulture. A good general understanding of Horticulture practices and experience working with volunteers, as well as organising and leading activity sessions for groups, would also be advantageous.
