Are you an experienced Lawyer looking for a new challenge within a supportive and forward-thinking local authority? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Lawyer experienced in Adult Social care to join our Legal and Democratic Service, reporting to the Principal Lawyer (People). This is a unique post to transform the approach to continuing health care arrangements and support Adult Social care with the transition. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents and contribute to the success of our vibrant community and join a supportive team.
As a Lawyer (People), you will play a key role in providing high-quality legal advice and support on a wide range of matters primarily relating to Adult Social care. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload, including but not limited to:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:
3. Qualified solicitor, barrister or legal executive with relevant post-qualification experience
4. Sound knowledge of relevant areas of law, particularly in relation to Adult Social care
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
7. Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
