Duties will include the responsibility for preparing and sending casenotes out for clinic appointments to Torbay and Community Hospitals, communicating with secretaries, looking for missing referral letters, and tidying up the hospital records.
There is also the expectation to work in the Health Records Library as and when required.
Excellent communication skills are essential along with strict time management and prioritisation of work. This job involves working to tight deadlines along with working well as a team. Maintaining patient confidentiality is imperative within the role.
Knowledge of IT is preferred but training and support will be provided throughout all aspects of this role.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. To locate, prepare or create new/temporary case notes for specific outpatient clinics within Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, in accordance with the agreed Trust policies and procedures.
2. Printing daily clinic lists.
3. Updating and maintaining the Patient Administration System (PAS).
4. To maintain confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications
* Basic knowledge of computerised systems.
* Good level of general education.
* NHS Experience.
* NVQ2 Customer Care or equivalent.
Knowledge and experience
* Ability to prioritise workload.
* Ability to lift, move and carry heavy case notes.
* Ability to achieve deadlines.
* PAS Knowledge.
* Previous experience of data input in a similar role.
