If you are a great communicator who likes to make a difference, then this post offers you that opportunity. We are seeking a Fundraising and Events Co-ordinator to help us support the sustainability of our organisation but also work collaboratively on new exciting projects and initiatives. This post requires an excellent communicator with the confidence to develop positive relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
You will be supporting local youth centre teams to develop their annual fundraising plans, goals and events programmes. The role will include locality mapping, communicating with sponsors and donors and contributing to writing grant applications. You will work closely with our data, finance, social action and marketing teams and you will be committed to keeping accurate and timely records.
You will have the opportunity to be creative, have fun and will feel part of an organisation that has a clear purpose and mission. Championing the potential of teenagers, supporting their engagement and contributing to the development of services that meet their needs, is at the heart of the role.
What is the role?
● Research and locate new avenues of funding, grants and income opportunities;
● Write funding bids in collaboration with leadership, managers and staff to help strengthen the financial health of the organization;
● Report writing and presentation skills;
● Work with the local Youth Work managers to develop and implement local fundraising plans which will include planning and delivering community events;
● Manage and attend events when required. Working at times that are conducive to the community fundraising activities and participants - including evenings and weekends on occasion;
● Identify local businesses to engage with Space Youth Centres and Chances School;
● Creating opportunities for corporate partnerships and sponsorships that align with the organisation's mission and values;
● Work with the volunteer co-ordinator and Social Action Manager to support local fundraising volunteers.
