Salary: £97 - £115 per day

Are you enthusiastic about guiding students and enhancing their learning experiences? GSL Education is excited to offer the opportunity for a proactive Behaviour Mentor to join various dynamic primary and secondary schools in Market Weighton, Hull from September 2024. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be integral in supporting students' academic and behavioural development. Your role will involve creating lesson plans based on the curriculum, delivering tailored support in one-to-one or small group settings, and assisting students with SEND needs in the absence of teachers.
Responsibilities of Behaviour Mentor:
* Develop and implement lesson plans in alignment with the curriculum.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
* Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
* Support students with SEND and behavioural needs and adapt lessons to meet their requirements.
* Monitor and track students' progress and report on their achievements and areas for improvement.
* Work collaboratively with teachers to address students' educational and emotional needs.
* Prepare and adapt materials for different key stages.
* Help with classroom management and ensure a safe and productive learning space.
Behaviour Mentor Job Requirements:
* CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is essential.
* Previous experience in a similar role or as Behaviour Mentor is mandatory.
* A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology or related field is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of curriculum requirements and key stages.
* Ability to effectively support students with SEND and diverse learning needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to adapt lesson plans as needed.
