We are looking to recruit Children’s Support Workers to support our incredible young people in day-to-day activities of living.
Do you have the empathy, compassion, resilience, and positive parenting skills required to help support young people and change their lives for the better? Here, you’ll join a supportive driven team, helping and guiding young children of mixed gender who are experiencing mental health challenges.
The home provides full funding for NVQ3 in Children and Young People to progress within their career.
Day-to-Day Duties:
1. Care plans and documentation completed and updated.
2. Work with firm and consistent boundaries to create safety and containment for the child as part of the staff team, within CAMHS policy and statute, and as part of the children’s Treatment Plan.
3. Work alongside the child to help develop a true sense of identity and self-worth.
4. Talk and listen to the child, observe their behaviour, and record significant features.
5. Work within Child Protection/Safeguarding policy and practice.
6. Be aware of the child’s rights and work in an anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive manner.
7. Assist in preparation for reviews and meetings, and attend when required.
8. Be approachable towards the team and children.
9. Act as a hands-on professional role model, adaptable and able to read situations to help our young people make positive choices.
