Job title: Technical Support Engineer

Salary: £37,547 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Provide expert-level technical support and advice for Typhoon aircraft platform systems.
* Diagnose and resolve complex faults, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain system enhancements.
* Provide On Job Training and knowledge transfer to support ongoing system operations.
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
* Stay updated with the latest developments in Typhoon aircraft systems and integrate best practices into support processes.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Typhoon platform systems hands-on (Ideally at Supervisor Level) experience, with Typhoon Q Annotation (or Equivalent)
* HNC (or equivalent experience) in Aerospace Engineering
* Have excellent system fault diagnosis skills; provide analysis of test results
* Compliance with Maintenance, Safety, Quality, Engineering and Airworthiness governance responsibilities
Desirable:
* Understanding of a broad range of product development, verification and in-service processes and techniques; e.g. product lifecycles, qualification plans and reports, configuration control, requirements analysis etc.
* Able to interpret industry documentation and procedures, such as trilogy View, ESS, Resolve.
* Proven continuous improvement experience

The Technical Support Engineering team:
As a part of the Joint Avionics Service (JAS) Technical Support Engineers (TSE) you will be responsible for delivering in-depth technical assistance to the Military Maintenance end user with diagnostic and maintenance recovery solutions across the Typhoon platform systems.
This is an exciting opportunity to support with the provision of aircraft fault diagnostics, transference of Industry Best Practice, specialist knowledge and techniques and provision of data analysis. This is delivered in partnership between BAE Systems and Leonardo Engineers, ensuring integration within the TSE engineering support enterprise. The JAS provide a Typhoon NFF initiative to suppress NFF arisings and through technical analysis support investigations into root cause.
