The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Operational Assets Equipment Maintenance Team. We are an innovative, challenging, and high performing fire and rescue service where you can make a real difference to public services through the provision and management of physical assets.
At HIWFRS we operate and manage a large number of fleet, equipment, PPE and workwear assets to enable the effective and efficient delivery of varied services to the communities of Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
As the Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will undertake the compliant servicing, maintenance and care of fire & rescue specialist equipment. Completing scheduled maintenance work and responding to unscheduled defects and events.
Maintenance activity will include:
* Servicing specialist equipment
* Repairs and maintenance specialist equipment
* Upgrade and refurbishment work
Asset Types will include:
* Battery operated tools
* Breathing apparatus equipment
* Detection and monitoring equipment
* Personal protective equipment
* Working at height and rescue equipment
* Water and foam delivery equipment
