Our client is seeking an experienced and qualified Social Work Team Manager to lead their Multi Agency Referral Unit within the Local Authority's Children & Families Service. This vital position plays a crucial role in safeguarding children, ensuring that responses to support requests are timely, effective, and well-coordinated. As Team Manager, you will lead a stable and committed team, benefiting from a supportive management structure, and will be instrumental in promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people in the South West.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead, supervise, and support social workers, trainees, and students, providing expert advice and consultation.
2. Work collaboratively with the Early Help Hub to deliver integrated support for families.
3. Assess complex information to make informed decisions about risk, harm, and the needs of children and families.
4. Forge strong partnerships with parents, children, and professionals, often in challenging circumstances.
5. Ensure the team meets strict timescales and high service standards, while maintaining efficiency and quality.
6. Contribute to quality assurance, performance management meetings, and service improvement initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
1. A qualified social worker with at least 3 years of post-qualified experience, ideally with management experience in a front-line children's services team.
2. Proven expertise in child protection, risk assessment, and safeguarding legislation.
3. Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
4. Commitment to a flexible approach, balancing office and home working.

Requirements:
1. Degree in Social Work or Social Care.
2. Social Work England registration.
3. Minimum of 3 years' experience in Children's Social Care, ideally in MASH or Duty & Assessment.
