Nestling in the heart of the Sussex countryside, is the world famous Glyndebourne Opera House. With three restaurants, two bars, exclusive private dining rooms and fabulous picnics, Dining at Glyndebourne offer high-end catering facilities to compliment this magnificent venue. We are currently recruiting for the summer Opera Festival which runs between Mid-May and August. During the Festival we are open for seven days a week and our cashiers primarily work in the evenings although there are a limited number of afternoon shifts available too. We are looking for cashiers to work in our restaurants. The cashier is responsible for issuing bills to our guests and collecting the money back in, reconciling the till at the close of service and helping out the front of house team in the restaurant and Bar pouring drinks where necessary during service. Successful candidates will be hard working and dedicated with boundless energy and enthusiasm. A can-do attitude is essential, as is the ability to work calmly under pressure and to work well within a team. Candidates must also demonstrate a keen eye for detail, be well organised and able to follow processes accurately. An ability to solve problems is helpful as is great customer service skills. Candidates must also be well presented with exemplary hygiene and strict adherence to health and safety procedures As this work is primarily in the evenings it is the perfect role for anyone looking to return to work after an absence or anyone looking for extra work to supplement another job.
