Facilities Engineer
Salary: £43,000-£44,000
Bonus: 7% yearly bonus
Location: Deeside Area
Working Hours: Double Days Monday to Friday 7-3, 1-9
Our leading manufacturer with several sites situated across the UK is looking for an electrical biased facilities engineer to support the Engineering Manager in overseeing the site and ensuring high standards are met. You will be diagnosing faults, identifying problems on site, and implementing solutions.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Repair & Maintenance work focused on the maintenance of building and grounds of the organization, and the upkeep of equipment and supplies including:
2. Scheduling repairs, renovation projects, waste reduction improvements, and safety inspections. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labour, materials, and other related costs.
3. Overseeing services related to electric maintenance, mechanics, hydraulics, carpentry, and masonry, substituting, changing, cleaning, repairing, and installing pieces, components, and equipment.
4. Responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities.
5. Performs electrical repairs of fixtures and equipment.
6. Responsible for the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.
7. Conducts periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.
8. Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. A trade apprenticeship with a minimum of 5 years practical experience in the Industry; Maintenance or Installation background considered.
2. Educated to GCSE Level standard or equivalent in Maths, English, and Science subjects.
3. Qualification: O.N.C. or C & G Certificate, NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering.
4. Proven ability in fault finding.
5. Strong electrical/mechanical skills, electrically biased.
