An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team.
Your Role and What You'll Be Doing
As a member of the Finance team, your role will involve dealing with all aspects of Credit Control. You'll be working as part of a busy team, delivering a high standard of service to the business.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Dealing with daily correspondence received by Credit Control;
2. Attending regular aged debt reviews with Senior Credit Controllers;
3. Logging all queries generated and dealing with any follow up action as required;
4. Collecting aged debts as quickly and efficiently as possible as outlined in the Credit Control Policy;
5. Maintaining a portfolio of aged debtors to ensure timely collection and effective management of matters;
6. Updating systems with relevant commentaries to ensure records are kept up to date and actions are followed up;
7. Chasing all allocated overdue debts by telephone, letter, and monthly statements to clients whilst liaising with Partners, Fee Earners and Team Assistants;
8. Ad-hoc duties to support the team as and when required.
About You
We're looking for a proactive Credit Controller who enjoys dealing with clients and solving problems. Our ideal candidate will have the following:
1. Excellent attention to detail;
2. A flexible and team-spirited attitude;
3. The ability to create and maintain good client relationships;
4. Demonstrable working knowledge of Elite and ARCS systems (desirable);
5. Demonstrable experience in Credit Control, specifically across B2C customers;
6. Experience working in a law firm or corporate/regulated environment (desirable);
7. The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a seamless service;
8. Demonstrable experience working with Microsoft Office products (365, Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word);
