Loughborough College is seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer Assessor to join our team, delivering high-quality ICT/Digital apprenticeship programs.
As a Trainer Assessor, you will play a vital role in supporting apprentices through their learning journey, offering tailored guidance and assessment to ensure they meet their apprenticeship standards and achieve their career goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality training and assessment in ICT apprenticeship programs, both in the classroom and through workplace visits.
* Assess and monitor apprentices’ progress against agreed learning outcomes and apprenticeship standards.
* Provide constructive feedback to learners, supporting their continuous development.
* Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging learning sessions that meet the needs of individual learners, supporting the development of skills in areas such as networking, software development, IT support, and digital technologies.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant awarding body requirements, internal policies, and quality standards.
* Work closely with employers to support the apprenticeship journey, ensuring a collaborative approach to learner progression.
* Maintain accurate records of assessments, learner progress, and documentation in line with college and apprenticeship framework requirements.
Qualifications:
* A strong background in ICT, with demonstrable experience in IT support, networking, software development, or related fields.
* Previous experience in delivering apprenticeship programs or vocational training is desirable. Relevant qualifications in ICT (e.g., Level 3 or higher) or a degree in an ICT-related field.
* Assessor qualifications (e.g., A1 or TAQA) are preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
* A passion for supporting learners and a commitment to helping them achieve their full potential.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload of learners effectively.
* A full, clean driving license and the ability to travel to apprentices' workplace locations.
