Job Summary
The Charles D McCrary Institute is accepting applications for a Deputy Director, McCrary Administration and Finance. This position will perform a variety of responsibilities for the financial operations of the McCrary Institute, including financial reporting, analysis, budgeting and forecasting, compliance with university requirements and policies, and transaction approvals.
Essential Functions
Performs routine day-to-day accounting and financial duties including:
1. Prepare, examine, code, and McCrary’s Institute financial transactions; review and verify documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policies and procedures.
2. Initiate and/or respond to routine inquiries concerning purchasing, procurement, or payment compliance with university policy.
3. Assist in the administrative management of contracts by monitoring budget and coordinating change orders.
4. Support the tracking, monitoring, and analyzing McCrary’s Institute budget.
5. Prepare, review, and/or analyze McCrary’s Institute quarterly management statements.
6. Oversee all federal and state contract captures, administration, and support.
7. Assist in the development and maintenance of data and databases; gather information and prepare various reports and correspondence.
8. Support the staff Human Resources (HR) functions.
9. Perform a variety of administrative duties related to collaborations with other Auburn University colleges and institutes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field. An MBA, MA cc, or CPA can be substituted for the specific degree.
AND
5 years of experience in reporting, financial analysis, and budgeting within a large organization. Experience must show progressively increasing levels of responsibility and accountability.

* Higher Education experience
* Experience with Banner and/or Kronos
* Experience in sponsored programs administration
* Master’s degree in Business Administration or in Accounting; knowledge of college/university accounting practices
* CPA license
Salary Range
$62,960 - $113,330
