The Role: Redgate is looking for a friendly and passionate part-time People Operations Advisor to join our team for a fixed term of 8 months commencing in March 2025. During your contract term, you’ll be working as part of a busy, collaborative team, having the confidence and enthusiasm to get stuck in wherever needed with a core focus on the delivery of an excellent employee experience. Reporting to the People Operations Manager, our People Advisors are pivotal members of the People Team. They each hold responsibility for one key strand of our Centre of Excellence and support one another as needed. The role covers a breadth of interesting and varied areas, with scope to make a big impact on a global scale. There is also an essential element of administration required here so it’s important the role holder approaches things with a ‘no-job-too-small' attitude. Other tasks include issuing employment contracts, supporting visa applications, compiling information for payroll and other, similar tasks. Achieving work-life balance has never been more important and so Redgate has adopted a flexible-hybrid model. For this role, we’re looking for candidates who live close to our Cambridge office. Your Work at Redgate Software: Employee onboarding / offboarding Manage the onboarding process of new hires in UK, Australia, Canada, and Germany, from start to finish including the delivery of new starter inductions, ensuring there is an efficient and well-organised procedure in place and new starter feedback is reviewed and improvements actioned Support skilled worker visa applications and ensure compliance with right to work processes for your new starters Issue employment contracts, offer letters and all new starter documentation, including benefits enrolment for employees in Canada Support employee offboarding in UK, Australia, Canada, and Germany, and own the company exit interview process to maximise insights and improve measurable attrition metrics Pay & Reward: Collaborating with Finance to ensure global monthly payrolls are completed correctly and on time every month Support annual salary review & salary benchmarking processes Learning & Development: Assisting global training co-ordination including booking training courses for employees across all office locations Systems and Reporting: Key administrator of the HR system Contribute to quarterly and monthly reporting alongside ad-hoc requests for data Employee Experience: Contribute to projects and process improvements that enhance the employee experience Management of the internal ‘People Team’ mailbox responding to queries and interpreting Redgate policies to enable pragmatic, clear and simple guidance Assisting with global policy development and operational process improvements including Info site updates Support employee Maternity, Paternity and Parental leave processes Who You Are: You have experience administering and enhancing the employee experience, preferably built in a tech or similar environment You have experience of working at a HR/People Advisor level with a general understanding of employment law You can demonstrate strong organisational, planning and project management skills with evidence of the ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality, accuracy, attention to detail and high standards You can prioritise effectively and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment You can use excel, interpret data and create reports You have great written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present well, adjust style when needed and tailor content appropriately to the audience You’re comfortable with a practical and pragmatic HR culture; you’ll know when to use your judgement instead of applying a policy You are comfortable making decisions that consider the facts, goals, constraints, and risks You can quickly build great relationships within your immediate team, wider organization, and external partners You have a continuous improvement mindset and generate credible ideas and solutions You’re a team player who is resourceful, meticulous, and able to multitask You’re self-motivated, committed to your own personal development, and just get things done Salary: Salary is £35,000 - £42,000 (full-time equivalent at 40 hours) You’ll work about 24 hours a week, with flexible times A blend of home and office working in Redgate’s Cambridge HQ Our Cultural Commitment: Welcome to a place where people are not just part of the team – they are the driving force behind our achievements.
