Job Description
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Divisional Treasury team as a Senior Treasury Analyst to carry out global treasury operations processes and support strategic projects. This role will report to the Divisional Treasury Manager within the PL Re Divisional Finance function.
This role will support the Treasury Manager in managing and overseeing activities related to cash management and banking services for PL Re Group Companies, domiciled in the UK and Bermuda. This includes responsibility for managing cash positions and ensuring the availability of adequate funds to meet plans and obligations, while ensuring accurate and timely transmission of cash payments and receipts. Strategic Treasury Projects involve business readiness for unique transactions and advising best practices for treasury operations supporting ongoing reinsurance treaties.
In addition, the role will support our back-office transformation Project which seeks to redesign and modernise global treasury processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Execute and monitor multicurrency bank transactions in compliance with local legal & fiscal regulations to ensure accurate and timely settlement of payments.
2. Prepare and monitor short-term cash positions and forecasts to meet daily liquidity needs.
3. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures in day-to-day conduct of cash management and custodial operations.
4. Coordinate updates to the internal and external control documents governing disbursements.
5. Act as the liaison between financial institutions and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, maintain collaborative relationships, and provide expertise and guidance on banking issues.
6. Oversee that compliance and regulatory requirements are met for Treasury Operations.
7. Monitor and evaluate account analysis for alignment with our banking contracts.
8. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
9. Oversee the end-to-end Company Credit Card process including administration of existing and new cards.
10. Maintain consistent quality of deliverables to meet the growth of the business and scalability by driving operational efficiencies.
11. Liaising with external auditors, internal, and global teams.
12. Contribute to the preparation of Treasury MI and reports.
13. Challenge the status quo Finance processes and working practices, systems, and controls and drive the efficiency and improvement of these including contributing to Treasury Transformation projects and process redesign.
14. Other ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Experience
1. 5+ years of Treasury experience.
2. Experience of foreign exchange transactions.
3. Competency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
4. Proactive with strong problem-solving abilities.
5. Self-motivated and driven with the ability to be flexible, keep up, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
6. Ability to produce high-quality accurate work within agreed deadlines.
7. Capability to collaborate seamlessly across diverse functions and time zones.
8. Ability to effectively prioritise tasks despite conflicting and changing priorities and deadlines.
9. Willingness to be challenged and a proven record of challenging the status quo in a professional manner.
10. Team player who can maintain good working relationships.
11. Communicates in a clear and practical manner both verbally and in writing.
