About Our Client:
Our client, an established legal firm in Guildford, is seeking a skilled and organised Accounts Assistant to join their busy Finance team.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the efficient running of the department, focusing on the firm's purchase ledger function and legal cashiering responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Setting up new supplier and expense accounts
2. Coding and posting invoices and expenses to nominals
3. Ensuring timely payments of invoices and expenses
4. Performing office account bank reconciliation
5. Assisting the Management Accountant with nominal analysis and reconciliations
6. Addressing email and telephone queries promptly and professionally
7. Supporting Legal Cashiers with banking client cheques, billing, and other ad hoc tasks
8. Authorising payments for cashiers
Skills/ Experience:
9. Previous experience with Xero accounting software
10. 2-3 years of experience in purchase ledger with the ability to handle a large volume of transactions.
11. Accounts legal experience would be desire but is not essential
12. Strong organisational and administrative skills
13. Attention to detail
14. Confident telephone manner
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
16. T Literacy
