Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer South of Norwich £52k starting salary NIGHTS ID Recruitment is working with a fantastic Manufacturing company South of Norwich. We are looking for experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineers to join a professional team of multi disciplined Engineers within the business. The Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer will be forward thinking, disciplined, keen and willing to learn new skills. The Maintenance Engineers have a range of duties that include assessing faulty machinery and diagnosing faults in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime is experienced due to machine breakdowns and completing both reactive and preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment. Multi-Skilled Engineers are essential to guarantee the smooth running of the lines and other critical equipment across the site, ensuring we can meet the operational needs of the business. To be successful as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer you should be able to carry out all tasks with high attention to detail. Ultimately, a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer should be highly organised, able to keep the electronic work log up to date on a regular basis, order and follow up on machine parts, liaise with external contractors and OEMs as necessary, suggest improvements to working practices to your Engineer supervisor and handover workload and updates on work activity from your shift to the next shift. In this role, you will be expected to cover holiday and sicknesses as and when required. About you: This is an opportunity to be an active team player who is happy to support and be supported in our Engineering department. You will have an NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering or equivalent and demonstrable workplace experience alongside proof of multi-skilled qualification / conversion training and demonstrable experience. HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline would be advantageous. Holding a full, clean driving license is desired. Being apprentice trained is desired but not required. Previous experience in a similar role or industry is required and will support you in working in our fast-paced environment. Previous manufacturing / production experience is desired. You will have strong diagnostic / rectification skills. You are used to working with fine tolerances. Happy to be flexible when required with working hours and shift patterns. You are reliable with a strong work ethic. You will be comfortable working alone or as part of a small team. You are comfortable working under pressure Have a broad engineering skill base.
