About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cleaner to join our team in Plymouth, working 5 days a week. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of hygiene and cleanliness within our partnering school.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for cleaning and customer service to work in a dynamic environment. If you have experience in cleaning and possess excellent communication skills, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing on a daily basis.
* Sanitise restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors, to ensure a clean and safe environment for students and staff.
* Empty trash bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste properly, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Maintain cleaning equipment and report any issues to the supervisor, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
* Follow health and safety rules when using cleaning chemicals and equipment, prioritising the well-being of yourself and others.
* Communicate effectively with school staff to address cleaning requests or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
* Enhanced DBS on the update service, demonstrating your commitment to safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
* Eligibility to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
* Proven professional references with clean records, reflecting your reliability and integrity.
* Relevant cleaning experience, showcasing your ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals, allowing you to safely and effectively carry out your duties.
* Driving licence (desirable) for occasional transportation of cleaning supplies or equipment.
