Stainless Restoration Ltd, based in Hyde, is a metal surface finishing engineering company that serves customers in the UK and internationally.
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Stores professional to manage and control our stores from start to finish, allowing you to make it your own with full control. The role is hands-on and would suit someone who is a self-starter, happy to “muck in where needed,” and will require a blue-sky thinking approach.
Responsibilities:
1. Control the goods in and out of our facility.
2. Manage goods that come in from suppliers, subcontractors, and customers, designating them to the correct department within the facility once booked in.
3. Acceptance and inventory control of raw materials and ancillary items.
4. Liaise with other team leaders and management daily to aid production flow and quality control of incoming goods.
5. Control the issuing and completion of delivery and receipt documentation.
6. Move raw materials to the storage and manufacturing areas as required.
7. Daily liaison with the company's office administrators to verify and hand over delivery notes.
8. Conduct monthly material audits and stock controls, providing information to aid WIP flow through the business and relevant departments.
9. Ensure housekeeping and health & safety of the company's stores area.
10. Attend production meetings when necessary and support by advising on improvements the department can make.
11. Maintain and manage tools and equipment, ensuring they are kept in good working order and arrange any replacements and repairs when required.
Personal Attributes:
1. Excellent communication skills: a high level of verbal and written English is required.
2. The ability to work to timescales and organize & prioritize the stores responsibilities.
3. Plenty of drive, energy, and determination to improve and put your own stamp on things.
4. Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
5. Ability to work in a team environment and communicate at all levels.
6. Flexibility to help in other areas when required and be a self-starter.
7. Experience in a manufacturing background, ideally engineering.
8. A current FLT license would be distinctly advantageous.
9. Willingness to work overtime as required.
