If so, then consider joining us! We now have a great opportunity for a Senior Clinical Psychologist in our Specialist Perinatal Community Mental Health Team (SPCMHT) in Pennine.
You would be based in our Pennine team in Blackburn, but there is extensive travel across East Lancashire. You will also, on occasion travel across the service footprint to attend service-wide meetings.
The Pennine SPCMHT has a welcoming, kind and compassionate Team Leader and MDT who value the role of psychology. You will have support from senior peers within your team and will be part of a wider perinatal network of Clinical Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, Assistant Psychologists, and Trainee Clinical Psychologists across the Service.
Whilst we aim to provide a trauma-informed and comprehensive specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service, we understand you might not have worked in perinatal mental health before. To help you develop your confidence and skills in this area, we offer lots of opportunities for training and the ongoing development of clinical and leadership skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
Main duties of the job

The Specialist Perinatal Community Mental Health Team (SPCMHT) aims to provide a compassionate and comprehensive Perinatal Mental Health Service for women and birthing people and their infants within Pennine.
The service focuses on improving outcomes for women and birthing people experiencing perinatal mental health difficulties, their infants, and their families. The service prioritizes women and birthing people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties who are most in need of specialist, comprehensive, multi-agency coordinated care.
We provide multidisciplinary integrated team working and ensure effective prevention that responds to local need by:
* Intervening earlier at preconception, during pregnancy, and up to 2 years following birth
* On-going training and supervision of professionals from multiple disciplines
* Improving pathways and processes for women and birthing people, their families, and professionals
About us
The SPCMHT works closely with general adult services, maternity services, maternal mental health services, parent-infant mental health services, primary care, and social services to ensure that the needs of such women and birthing people are better understood and met.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health, and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria, and Sefton area.

Person Specification Education/Qualifications Essential
* Doctoral level training in clinical psychology or equivalent for those who trained prior to 1996, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, Neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS.
* HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist.
Desirable
* Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training, and/or other fields of applied psychology.
Knowledge Essential
* Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, research design, and complex, multivariate data analysis as practiced within the clinical fields of psychology.
Experience Essential
* Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of patients across a range of care settings.
