We are now recruiting for our client, a specialist contractor who are a market leader in the design and build of offsite hybrid engineered structures.
They have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Handover Manager to join their London team on a permanent basis.
Working under the supervision of the Quality Manager with the objective of gaining experience, knowledge and understanding of the role, the duties will include preparing project handovers, and ensuring that any associated grouting, finishing, mastic, and remedial works are completed to the desired standard.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Quality Control
* Ensure that onsite grouting processes are followed, and quality of works is to an acceptable standard.
* Assist grouting teams to ensure product cubes are completed to the desired standard.
* Create and update the ‘Cube Test Register’.
* Check the positioning and presence of M&E elements within units.
* Raise and issue manufacturer defects, inclusive of an estimated time and motion.
* Management of mastic application inclusive of quality assurance.
* Management of project-based diamond drilling tasks.
* Snag completed works to ensure they are to an acceptable standard.
* Complete structural / cosmetic handover documents and issue to the client.
* Assist manufacture teams with quality assurance checking of units within factories.
* Be responsible for plant and equipment.
Leadership
* Briefing the site team as to daily / weekly activities and input to daily project de-briefs.
* Manage and lead on site finishing teams.
* Manage ER issues with your team.
* Direct on-site manufacturer finishing resource to complete tasks.
Health & Safety
* Ensuring Health and Safety is always adhered to
* Ability to create RAMS and addendums.
* Follow any temporary works guidance and guidelines.
SKILLS / BEHAVIOURS / KNOWLEDGE
* Valid SMSTS & First Aid
* Previous experience as a Finishing / Hanover Manager – desirable
* Experience working with Pre- Cast Concrete structures is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills with all levels
* Highly motivated, always looking for improvements and efficient ways of working
* Can work at pace, when required and strives to meet deadlines
