The role is dependent on the successful candidate gaining and maintaining high level UK security clearance. Day-to-day running of an ever-growing Microsoft SQL Server estate and some open-source databases. This includes, monitoring, troubleshooting, backups, security, optimization, automation. Working with the senior DBA to plan upgrades, migrations and carry out installations. Carry out daily checks, complete service requests and change requests within SLA. The role will provide technical exposure variance across both outcomes-based project activities and operational (Business as Usual) support activities. The duties of the role will include on-site support and out of hours on call support. You will be expected to contribute towards the creation and ongoing maintenance of technical documentation and provide material to support the project work or the operational support service.
