Murray Recruitment are recruiting an HR Advisor for our client. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to play a key role in shaping and supporting a positive workplace culture. The role involves working closely with employees at all levels, ensuring that people-related policies and practices are implemented fairly and transparently.
Overview
The HR Advisor will be responsible for delivering HR policies and procedures, supporting leadership teams, and ensuring a consistent and fair approach to employee relations. This role offers a varied workload, with involvement in coaching, employee engagement, recruitment, and performance management. Strong relationship-building skills will be essential to drive HR solutions that align with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Improve, implement, and administer HR policies and procedures.
* Coach leaders to develop competence and confidence in HR practices.
* Ensure fair and consistent implementation of performance management, recruitment, absence management, and disciplinary procedures.
* Support managers and Occupational Health in managing long-term and short-term absences.
* Handle employee complaints and disciplinary procedures.
* Create and promote employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
* Contribute to cross-functional project teams as required.
* Develop and maintain relationships with employment agencies to ensure efficient recruitment.
* Maintain and share standard operating procedures (SOPs) on Teams and SharePoint.
* Work collaboratively with HR, Payroll, and Training teams, contributing to team meetings and updates.
Skills & Experience:
* Extensive experience in case management and investigations.
* Strong judgement and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to multitask, prioritise, and organise workload effectively.
* Experience in recruitment and onboarding at various levels.
* Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and regulations.
* Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* High level of discretion and professionalism.
* Desirable: Higher education qualification or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
* Willing to be on-site for a minimum of two days per week, including overnight stays as required.
