Senior Development Manager – Privately Owned Developer

Potensis Selection are currently working with an experienced, privately owned developer who are looking to enhance their growing team by recruiting an additional Senior Development Manager.
Responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to :
1. Manage and secure any optimisation of the site with assistance from land, sales and build teams
2. Advise the team of all planning risks that develop through the post planning scheme optimisation
3. Appraise new opportunities by considering options for tenure, mix, design, funding, use and partnership working.
4. Undertake value engineering in order to increase the sites profitability and saleability of a scheme post acquisition through planning where able.
5. Work with colleagues in the construction, technical and sales team to ensure the effective appointment and performance management of consultants.
6. Establish and maintain a network of connections with Housing Associations, local authorities, BTR operators/funders and strategic partners.
7. Use financial appraisal and reporting tools to assist with the financial assessment and viability of projects and the cash flow, programme monitoring and report to prospective JV partners where appropriate.
8. Lead consultation with external stakeholders, public and community engagement groups and dialogue with officers and members at all levels to ensure that a scheme will achieve suitable planning approval.
9. Coordinate design development through regular meetings with the architect, consultants and technical team
10. Determine affordable housing strategy and liaise with registered providers
11. Establish and implement a robust handover strategy to the delivery team.
