Grid Connection Manager - Job Description Our client is a leading European Independent Power Producer (IPP) dedicated to advancing the renewable energy transition. With a robust presence across multiple European markets, the company focuses on the development, acquisition, and management of wind, solar, and other renewable energy projects. Within their UK Development team, our client is seeking a Grid Connection Manager to support their upcoming projects. This role involves close collaboration with the local technical team and colleagues at the Company’s headquarters in Italy. Responsibilities: Responsible for the grid connection application processes across the UK, from project inception through to commercial operation: Assist in identifying new grid opportunities with TSOs and DNOs, and manage the submission of grid connection applications; Provide technical expertise on all grid-related aspects throughout project progression; Manage grid connection applications from initial planning to final submission; Coordinate with electrical consultants and support internal budgeting processes related to grid cost analysis; Liaise with DNOs and National Grid to ensure a smooth process from submission to plant commissioning; Collaborate with the existing origination team, including UK & European GIS analysts and business development project managers. Requirements: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering; A minimum of 3 years of experience working with DNOs, National Grid, or in a similar role with an IPP or renewable energy development company; Proficiency in creating Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
