Role: Cook - Temporary - Ballynahinch Job Overview VANRATH are once again supporting a returning client, a non-profit organisation in their search for a Cook. You will liaise oversee all activities in the kitchen, in an efficient and effective manner to achieve the objectives. £14/hour Ballynahinch Temporary Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and serve healthy, nourishing, and varied meals, including special dietary requirements. Cook meals as required, including the daily evening meal. Bake as needed to provide fresh, homemade goods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen by washing up, clearing away equipment, and ensuring hygiene standards are met. Empty bins daily, wash them when necessary, and keep floors swept and washed regularly. Follow hygiene, health, and safety regulations, wearing appropriate protective clothing and suitable footwear. Take responsibility for personal health and safety, as well as that of others. Answer the doorbell and telephone when needed, offering refreshments to visitors. Perform all duties in line with working conditions and be willing to take on any other reasonable tasks as required. Essential Criteria: Experience in food preparation and cooking. Ability to prepare varied, nutritious meals, including special diets. Knowledge of food hygiene, health, and safety regulations. Ability to maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation. Capability to work independently and provide cover as needed. Good communication skills and a flexible approach. Willingness to follow workplace policies.
