To establish, control, and maintain the production method standards of operation, inclusive but not limited to welding, processing, and equipment.
Responsibilities
1. To focus on COPQ (Cost Of Poor Quality) reduction, following continuous improvement principles.
2. Production engineering requirements at a project level, providing work instructions, manufacturing drawings and all tooling designs.
3. Research, development and innovation of processes and equipment to remain competitive and improve efficiency.
4. Safety responsibility on working processes and product handling.
5. Working in collaboration with production team to maintain standards of operation times and controls.
6. Lead a team of Production and Welding Engineers.
7. Lead and contribute to change programmes, inspiring the team to embrace change as a critical enabler to success.
8. Create and maintain procedures to make our ways of working as efficient as possible.
What you need
1. Educated to bachelor's degree level or higher in ideally Manufacturing Engineering discipline.
2. Demonstrated Leadership skills within production engineering.
3. Worked within production engineering environment involving welding, fabrication, and machining.
4. Passion for developing engineering talent.
5. Innovative approach to engineering execution.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
