* Masters Degree in related discipline. Three (3) years ofspecialized experience plus a BA/BS degree is equivalent to aMasters degree.

Statement of Work Details
Provides technical assistance developing andanalyzing the organizations grant program.
* Assist staff to manage and coordinate developand maintain annual grant portfolio and provide administrativesupport for the Grants Management Branch for the review of grantapplications and resolve which involves a wide variety of problemsand situations pertaining to the grant functions.
* Assist staff review annual grant progress reports and newgrants for conformity to Institute policy compliance with Federalregulations and consistency with Standard Operating Procedures(SOP).
* Provide advice Assist staff interpretand prepare guidance interpretation and guidance on statutesregulations policies and procedures as they related to the awardgrant program in general and as related to individualawards.
Assists withreviewing grant applications and preparingresponses.
* Assist staffreview and evaluate for accuracy and completeness competing andnoncompeting grant applications.
* Assist staffreview grant applications for policy and regulatory compliance andreport issues.
* Draft correspondence to addressany administrative or management issues related to grantapplications.
Assists inanalyzing and preparing reports to track status of awards andfunding.
* Conductadministrative and financial review of grantapplications.
Creates andmaintains a database for grant activities.
* Create or edit documents such as spreadsheetscorrespondence template forms terms package and reports.
Performs queriesconducts analysis and produces reports.
* Collect and analyze administrative data fromapplications and proposals and write analytic reports.
* Perform queries of grant management applications andsystems and prepare summaries of results.
Provides support and routine updates tostaff.
* Apprise staff ofissues and problems that could cause grant awards to be late ordelayed.
* Communicate with appropriate ProgramOfficer and Grantee Sponsored Research Administrator when questionsarise.
* Collaborate with staff to useguidelines and policies for specific situations utilizing NIA NIHand HHS grants administration sources.
* Bringto attention of staff areas needing additional policies orprocedures and contribute comments and suggestions on new policiesrevisions justifications for changes etc.
* Provide advice to program staff applicants and granteeson administrative and business management issues.
Identifies grants that are ready forfinal processing.
* Monitorthe status of grant application proposal processing and receipt bythe IC Review Program.
* Work with staff on preand postaward activities including the preparation of grantawards.
* Collect and assemble documentation ongrant applications that have been selected for funding for reviewand approval.
Reviews andassembles completed documentation and identifies pending issues orchanges.
* Perform advancedanalysis of grant program applications and procedures to enhanceproblemsolving fill gaps of information foster decisionmaking andpromote an area of science.
* Resolvegrantrelated issues working with scientific and administrativepersonnel and with similar staff of grantee organizations.
Develops procedures forthe grant review and approval process.
* Provide consultations to the potential granteecommunity to assist them in their submission of applications to theNIH Parent Announcements and NINRs Technologyspecific ProgramAnnouncements (PAs) and the Omnibus SBIR and STTR FundingOpportunity Announcements.
