Our clients, a young, dynamic engineering company based in Portsmouth, have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join their growing team. Due to success, they are seeking an additional salesperson to help increase market awareness.
As a Sales Manager, you will be working as part of a small, dedicated team, responsible for searching, developing, and maintaining new key accounts.
The role:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining a sales pipeline which will deliver sustainable, profitable growth. Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
1. Prospecting & business development activities
2. Arranging and attending on/off-site client meetings
3. Estimating and quoting work from technical CAD data
4. Closing/winning deals
5. Project managing the order through to completion
6. Account management activity to ensure the business is always front of mind
Ideal skills & experience:
1. Able to demonstrate knowledge of machining techniques, ideally from a CNC machining background desired, however not essential
2. Strong problem-solving and solutions-driven mindset
3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
4. Proven track record in driving sustained, profitable growth
5. Demonstrable success in previous sales roles

Hours are Monday – Friday 0800 – 1600hrs. The role is based in the Portsmouth office; however, the opportunity for hybrid working can be discussed.
