Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant in KS2

GSL Education is looking for a teaching assistant to work within a SEN provision in a mainstream school, supporting pupils with SEMH. This school currently has an Ofsted report rated ‘Good’. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students in KS2. You will work closely with our teachers to assist children with behavior needs across the school. This role involves:
1. Assisting students in their learning
2. Providing targeted interventions
3. Ensuring that each child has access to the curriculum

To be successful, you must be able to:
1. Communicate clearly with teachers and young individuals
2. Create an encouraging learning environment for pupils
3. Be understanding and caring
4. Carry out tasks involving a computer or hand-device
5. Remain calm during stressful situations
6. Work on different activities conducted inside and outside school premises
Previous experience: Working with children with behavior needs in a school setting is desirable.
To work with GSL Education as a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you should:
1. Have the right to work in the UK
2. Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
3. Have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education
