Beech House Veterinary Surgery
We are looking to find a standout Registered Veterinary Nurse, full of enthusiasm and passion, to join the team at Beech House Veterinary Surgery, to maintain excellent clinical standards. We are an inclusive practice and encourage interaction in staff meetings to make clinical and practical developments in house. We are keen to hear from any RVN, both experienced and recent graduate!
We are a 4-vet practice, which includes a Senior Vet, Internal medicine and surgery certificate holder, plus an experienced support team including Practice Director, 4 RVNs including Head Nurse, second year SVN, PCAs and 4 receptionists. We have frequent staff meetings, team building days and social events.
Our team also has a supportive Senior Clinical Director who attends weekly to support complex cases. Internal referral programme with support in soft tissue, orthopaedic, ophthalmology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging and internal medicine cases.
The nursing team are encouraged and supported to undertake CPD, and we have RVNs working on certificate pathways in Medicine and Surgery currently. Schedule 3 is encouraged and supported, along with daily Nurse consults including BP monitoring, blood sampling, Injection consults, weight checks, puppy familiarisation, post-op checks, pre-op checks, Healthy Pet Club health checks, procedure admits, 2nd vaccinations and suture removal, to name a few! We welcome new ideas for nurse clinics.
Facilities include brand new digital x-ray, brand new dental x-ray, endoscope, bronchoscope, nerve block kit, multi-parameter, diathermy, patient warmers, dental kit and high-end ultrasound facilities. The practice is ideally situated with easy access to public transport routes, and within easy travelling distance to Manchester city centre.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual, who can help maintain high clinical standards within the practice. Clinical coaching experience would be advantageous, to support our students.
This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, worked over 4 days (shift times between 07:30 – 19:00), with a requirement to work 1 in 4 Saturdays (08:30 - 17:30). We are open to discussing flexible working requests too.
