Contract Type: Full-time Fixed-Term (12-month)
Working Hours: 9am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Guildford
Salary: £24,000 per annum
Overall Purpose of the Job:
An education officer is responsible for effectively promoting international education amongst students. The education officer identifies potential sales opportunities and effectively converts potentials into customers; provides professional consultation services to international students and assists them and manages throughout the whole cycle of their applications.
The Key Tasks Include but are not limited to:
1. Share responsibility for the recruitment of international students and actively assist the team to achieve recruitment targets.
2. Deal with student enquiries and provide professional consultation services to students.
3. Be responsible for all administrative tasks involved in processing student applications. This will include but not be limited to helping students fill in application forms, forwarding them to the university, tracking their progress, entering and updating the information in student files both on paper and in the office database.
4. Liaise with universities and students to track students’ applications, arrange interviews, and field any general or specific enquiries as well as advocate on behalf of students.
5. Visit students off-site for counselling and information sessions, distribute leaflets, take part in on and off-site recruitment events such as education fairs, university interviews, open days and other relevant recruitment events.
6. Be available for ad hoc and regular company training where necessary and be prepared to deliver information sessions at regular company meetings. Also, be available for university information sessions and familiarisation trips.
7. Maintain good communication with colleagues and keep the centre manager informed of application statuses or problems.
8. From time-to-time undertake other relevant tasks as requested by the centre manager or the company.
