Orka Financial is currently partnering with a business based in Bracknell that is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join the team. They are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual with excellent communication skills and great eye for detail. For this position they require the successful candidate to be ACCA/CIMA/ACA fully qualified and have solid experience within accountancy and finance. This role will manage a finance team of 5 (3 direct reports) and duties include, Compiling the monthly management accounts for the main trading company in accordance with a strict timetable. Review the monthly management accounts of a subsidiary business Overseeing the production of the year end accounts and schedules for the auditors, including information required for the group’s corporation tax returns Preparing all monthly reports for the directors and shareholders including rolling forecasts Overseeing short term cash-flow requirements and arrange funding from the company deposit accounts where necessary Submitting the quarterly VAT return Acting as the head accounting professional of the company and providing accounting advice to the company’s directors, where necessary in conjunction with the external auditors Management of the finance team. This role would suit someone qualified with a solid background in financial/management accounting and be happy to manage a team The role is based in Bracknell (there is parking) and operates hybrid working (2 days a week in the office/3 days home) The role is paying up to £70000 (dependent upon experience) benefits.
