The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Children's Services, excelling in team-building and quality system development. Their organization, a dedicated independent provider of residential childcare, values individuality and strives to make every young person feel at home. With over 20 years of experience and a portfolio of more than 15 homes, all rated good or outstanding, we are expanding and seeking a top-tier candidate to drive continued success at our new Matlock location.
About the Role:
Our new home in Matlock, Derbyshire, is situated in a beautiful area renowned for its limestone scenery and historic charm. It benefits from excellent transport links, including a railway station with connections to Derby and Nottingham, and convenient access to major roads.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, addressing safeguarding and child protection concerns promptly and effectively.
2. Provide high-quality care that meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and cultural needs of the children, creating a nurturing and supportive environment.
3. Comply with the Children's Acts of 1989 and 2004, the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and other relevant legislation.
4. Lead, develop, and supervise a dedicated staff team, offering support and training to help them excel.
5. Oversee and regularly update each child's care plan to reflect their evolving needs.
6. Chair and participate in meetings and reviews as required.
7. Support children in achieving their goals and reaching their full potential.
8. Empower children to be actively involved in decisions about their lives and futures.
