** ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER VACANCY – SOUTH EAST LONDON **
Salary: £35,500 - £40,000 per year (starting salary negotiable for the right candidate), plus London allowance where relevant.
Contract Type: Permanent, 45 hours per week (flexible 32, 36, or 40-hour contracts also available, with salary pro-rata).
Store Location: South East London (Crayford, Dartford, Cheam, Coulsdon, Ewell) - MUST LIVE within a 45-minute drive from the Store location).
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to support the management of a high-performing retail store with a diverse and talented team. Your role will be dynamic: one day, you might be assisting with deliveries, placing orders, or responding to customer queries; the next, you could focus on staff performance, holiday planning, or leading the team to ensure smooth operations.
You’ll be instrumental in achieving sales targets, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining operational efficiency. In the absence of the Store Manager, you’ll step into their shoes to ensure business continuity.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You should be:
* An experienced people manager with a track record of leading and developing teams.
* Skilled in operational efficiency, time management, and meeting performance targets.
* Flexible in your working hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Committed to delivering exceptional customer service while managing competing priorities.
Requirements:
* The right to work in the UK.
* MUST LIVE within a 45-minute drive from the Store location (Crayford, Dartford, Cheam, Coulsdon, Ewell)
What We Offer:
* Competitive salary range with opportunities for negotiation.
* Flexible working options: work 32/36/40 or 45 hours over 4 or 5 days.
* Career progression opportunities – we’ll support you if you want to manage your own store one day.
* Generous benefits including:
* 4 weeks annual leave (rising to 5 weeks after 2 years), plus bank holidays.
* Paid breaks.
* Company sick pay, pension, and family leave schemes after 2 years.
* Access to an online wellness portal.
* Financial and wellbeing perks via our MyBenefits platform.
