Your new role:
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
1. Support all Group IT Infrastructure, security, and associated applications.
2. Manage network and communications systems.
3. Design and implement factory and site infrastructure.
4. Collaborate with the Security team for technical assistance in security implementations and operations.
5. Manage Windows Servers both on-premise and in Azure.
6. Maintain backups across large multi-site IT infrastructures and cloud environments.
7. Oversee operations across on-premise, hybrid, cloud, and multi-cloud infrastructures.
8. Maintain a complex network of Active Directory and Azure AD.
9. Provide third-level support to high-calibre customers and personnel.
10. Resolve escalated incidents.
11. Proactively support, maintain, and monitor all WAN networks, SDWAN, and IT infrastructure.
12. Provide on-call support on a rota basis.
13. Implement and upgrade global systems, including server and application migration to the cloud.
14. Manage cybersecurity systems, LAN/WAN/SDWAN/SASE networking.
15. Work with Windows Servers and Hyper V Clusters, Exchange Online, MS365, and communication systems like CCX and Teams.
What you'll need to succeed:
You should have:
1. 5+ years of experience in a similar senior infrastructure role, with expertise in network and communications systems.
2. Familiarity with Cisco network infrastructure (CCNA/CCNP preferred).
3. Experience in cybersecurity systems delivery and operations, including EDR, SIEM, patching, email security, web proxies, and firewalls.
4. Proficiency in Windows Server and Hyper V.
5. Experience with IAAS, PAAS, SaaS platforms (Microsoft certifications for Cloud Engineering and Azure are advantageous).
6. Knowledge of Microsoft Server OS (Windows) with Microsoft certification.
7. A proactive approach to using security and network monitoring tools.
8. Experience working towards KPIs and SLAs.
9. Excellent communication skills.
10. The ability to work well under minimal supervision and with a high degree of responsibility.
11. Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to deliver objectives.
12. Dedication to providing customer service and managing relationships.
13. Proficient problem-solving skills.
14. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
15. Experience of performing Level 3 support.
16. A high degree of flexibility towards working hours.
17. An enthusiastic can-do attitude and being a team player.
18. A current driving licence and own transport, along with a willingness to travel globally.
