An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Ventilation Inpatient Centre based on ward 6 as a band 6 Deputy Ward Nurse Manager/Team Leader on an 11-month secondment.
The Ventilation Inpatient Centre is a regional specialised unit that provides ventilatory support to the unwell adult. Currently, we are a ten-bedded unit with four designated beds for tracheal ventilation and six designated beds for the delivery of Non-Invasive Ventilation or CPAP to patients in acute respiratory failure.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an excellent nursing knowledge base, with clinical skills that include the ability to care for patients who require tracheal ventilation. Knowledge of Non-Invasive Ventilation/CPAP is also a must to assist you in leading the team to deliver high-quality care to the acutely unwell respiratory patient.
Main duties of the job
The post requires excellent leadership skills, extensive knowledge of Non-Invasive Ventilation and tracheostomy management. You will be experienced within all areas of respiratory medicine and will hold a relevant mentorship qualification.
