Job Description:
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million.
This is a full-time post with a shift pattern of Monday-Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm, and Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm (salary is pro rata for part-time hours).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Visitor to join the Children and Families Health Visiting service in East Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership. We are committed to the aims of Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC), providing children and young people with the best possible start in life. The post holder will have good knowledge of The Promise and the Children and Young Peoples Act 2014, and will work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care within a designated caseload.
The successful candidate should be knowledgeable in caseload management, child protection, working with families with complex needs, and health improvement work. Good communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to work both independently and within a team, are essential.
A Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and a qualification in Health Visiting or Public Health Nursing is required. The post holder will provide leadership across professional and organizational teams, focusing on audit, quality improvement, and service development.
The proposed interview date is 19/03/2025.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week starting 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also apply pro rata for part-time staff. Candidates may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week temporarily, for which they will be paid until service areas can adopt the new working hours.
