Job Title: Sports Coach

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Coach to join a vibrant school in Southend-on-Sea starting in January 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with young people, promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and inclusive sports sessions across a variety of age groups, from year 7 - 13.
* Plan and organize sports activities, ensuring they are safe, fun, and promote skill development.
* Support the PE department with extracurricular activities, including after-school sports clubs and competitions.
* Encourage students to participate in physical activity and support their development of teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to staff and students.
* Assist with the setup and maintenance of sports equipment.
Requirements:
* Relevant coaching qualifications (Level 1/2 Coaching Award or equivalent).
* Previous experience working as a sports coach or within a school environment is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage students.
* A passion for sports and promoting physical well-being.
* Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
* A positive, energetic, and proactive approach to working with young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
