(Job Share position, hours can be flexible) Salary Range: £56,164 - £65,262 (Macmillan Band 8b) Starting Salary: £56,164 (Pro Rata for part time) Duration: Fixed Term contract until 31st August 2027 Closing date: 12 noon, Tuesday 12th November 2024 All our roles make a positive impact on the lives of others, the purpose of this role is to: As a Macmillan funded Professional, employed by MindWise, the post holder will strategically lead and manage the implementation, sustainable development and growth of the Cancer and Mental Health Psychosocial Service in NI which is part of the overall Psychological Care Programme of work for Macmillan across the UK. They will lead on the coordination and development of the service, allocating tasks as appropriate, identifying risks, issues and dependencies, and making decisions in the best interest of the programme of work being carried out, so as to implement, but not be limited to: Ensuring that the appropriate personnel including Delivery Roles are enabling the Psychological Care programme of work. Introducing a system to collect, interpret and report the applicable Performance Metrics. Cooperating with all reasonable requests by Macmillan to align this with Macmillan’s psychological care programme of work activities to influence decision makers and policy makers to improve the psychological care experience of people living with cancer and mental health issues. Scoping the links between the Intervention and local psychological care services. Assisting in the development of the business case or proposals, as required, for commissioners to embed the service. Working closely with Macmillan and supporting the development of the Evaluation. What we ask for from you: A university degree in Social Work OR A professional qualification in Social Work Be fully registered with, or eligible to register with, NISCC as a Social Worker 3 years’ experience in the last 5 years in a senior management role e.g. Head of Service or clinical practice at band 8 or above in a HSCTrust or a Head of Service in a private or 3rd sector organisation Three years’ experience (in the last 5 years) of working in mental health services, and /or cancer services. Three years previous experience in managing senior staff performance to achieve high standards of service delivery. Experience of leading on quality improvement initiatives at an organisational level, across a range of performance management activities. Experience of managing stakeholder relationships, both internal and external to the organisation, to achieve successful outcomes. Proven track record of successfully managing projects from conception to delivery. Three years’ experience of developing, monitoring, and controlling budgets, aiming to secure best value. Knowledge and awareness of the issues affecting those with cancer and mental health issues and mental health policy environment. Experience of analysing data, trends, statistics, and performance measures. Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
