Temporary role: Site Manager, prison maintenance/ refurbishment programme
A large FM and Maintenance contractor who runs the contract for the Ministry of Justice to maintain UK Prisons has an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join the team in an open prison near Boston. This is a temporary role for up to 24 months. The role will require security vetting.
The Role
This will be based in North Sea Camp Prison, where you will be responsible for a major shower refurbishment programme. As a Site Manager, you play an important part in delivering projects in a safe and risk-free environment. This includes management of safety, CDM, issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
Your Responsibilities
1. Meeting with senior management and clients to track delivery timelines and costs.
2. Developing detailed project plans to guide clients, staff members, and project teams and revising based on changing needs and requirements.
3. Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience, and strengths of staff members and supply chain.
4. Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery.
5. Compiling and submitting project status reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders.
6. Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation.
7. Developing excellent leadership, customer relations, and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders.
About You
You will be an experienced construction site manager with a background in refurbishment and small works construction. Experience in site managing a variety of sectors would be beneficial.
Qualifications:
* Trade/degree or equivalent qualification in suitable construction/management or engineering discipline.
* IOSH or Nebosh and SMSTS.
* CDM knowledge.
