What you will do: Clarify and safely screen written and electronic prescription charts, discharge letters, and other prescribing forms on wards. Query inappropriate prescribing, including unlicensed, off-licence, and non-formulary prescriptions. Communicate complex medicines information with a range of clinicians across various disciplines. Ensure the efficient supply of pharmaceuticals is maintained to the wards. Supervise pharmacy technicians as appropriate, supporting their development and ensuring high standards of practice. Support the Head Pharmacist in maintaining an efficient and safe operating pharmacy service and drug supply service to the wards. Dispense and check prescriptions with competence, including utilisation of the pharmacy computer system.
