We are currently looking to recruit a Production and Pilot Plant Manager to work at our Headquarters in Liverpool on a full time, permanent contract. You will be responsible for managing a small team on site that manufacture a specialist clinical nutrition product as well as the management of our pilot plant facility which supports our innovation and renovation pipeline. Both plants currently operate on a day shift (Monday-Friday). What will you do? As the Production and Pilot Plant Manager, your main responsibilities will consist of the following:- Responsible for the day to day running of both plants, managing a team of seven across both functions. Ensuring the output requirements of the production plant are met on a weekly basis, on time in full and to specification. Accountable for the validation and verification of all processes &equipment in the Glycosade and Pilot Plant production areas, creation and maintenance of SOP's &production documentation. Responsible for thecreation and maintenance of the Operational Masterplan for both areas. Collaborate proactively with internal functions within the Operations Team and in the wider business to ensure efficient and effective operation of both plants, including ordering ofconsumables. Responsible for ensuring risk assessments are in place for all activities and driving SHE improvements in both areas. Ensuring the required hygiene standards are maintained and driving/supporting continuous improvement initiatives across both areas. Responsible for ensuring all non conformances, complaints and SHE issues are investigated and resolved with appropriate corrective actions, in a timely manner. Contribution to key projects in the area by supporting the selection and evaluation of new equipment, ensuring suitability and team training. To supervisethe plant maintenance programs,coordinatingmaintenance and repair work in process areas andplanning preventative maintenance activities as required. Who are we looking for? Essential Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment. Good people management skills, team player. Excellent communication skills. Able to work on own initiative, but knowing when to escalate. Good problem solving skills. Desirable Experience in leading a team and working in food companies.
