We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated senior clinical pharmacist to work closely with the community-based staff and be responsible for:
1. Establishing a baseline and database of HDAT (High Dose Antipsychotic Therapy) prescribing within the STaTT community teams.
2. Stock control and ordering of medicines into community bases, specifically typical and atypical depot medicines.
3. Assurance that preparations prescribed are generic.
Main duties of the job
1. To ensure that drug therapy is evidence-based, safe, cost-effective, and appropriate to the individual patient.

Person SpecificationEducation & QualificationsEssential
* Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification.
ExperienceEssential
* Experience of delivering a clinical pharmacy service including prescribing.
* Experience of working in mental health.
* Evidence of sound technical pharmaceutical & clinical knowledge to optimise safe and effective use of medicines.
* Experience of policy/procedure writing and implementation.
* Experience in cost improvement programmes/managing changes.
Desirable
* Conflict resolution experience.
Knowledge & SkillsEssential
* Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing.
* Able to plan own workload with priorities and objectives and cope with conflicting pressures.
* Able to work as a team and independently.
